The Air Tractor AT-802A single engine ag plane will be on static display in booth #441 during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2017, July 24-30. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the AT-802 series, an airplane that has taken on many roles beyond that of aerial spraying for high-yield agriculture.
The versatility and reliability of the AT-802 has made it popular for a wide variety of highly specialized applications, including aerial firefighting, fertilizing and reseeding forests, applying dispersant on oil spills, hauling fuel to remote villages, counternarcotics operations, security and reconnaissance missions, and other specialized jobs.
Among pilots, the AT-802 is noted for its excellent flying qualities and handling characteristics. This makes for an extremely productive aircraft that keeps pilot fatigue at a minimum—which is big reason for the airplane’s success.
