Paradigm Aerobatic Team Captivates Sun 'n Fun
Aviator Paramotor and Fuse Lenses are proud to present The Paradigm Aerobatic Team, the world’s first performing aerobatic paramotor team. The newly formed team is scheduled to showcase their unique and captivating performances as part of the evening air shows on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday April 5th, 8th, and 9th.

A Powered Paraglider, also known as a PPG or paramotor, is a foot-launched motorized ultralight aircraft that utilizes a paraglider (similar in appearance to a parachute) to allow a pilot to fly like a bird or an airplane. Paramotors are easy to launch, easy to land, and easily transportable – pilots are able to takeoff and land within a football field-sized area, and a complete PPG set-up is small enough to fit in the trunk of a compact car. The paraglider itself is elliptical in shape and has no rigid structure. The pilot is suspended underneath the paraglider by lines and secured into a harness, which is attached to backpack-like motor unit with a rear-facing propeller. Paramotor pilots have the ability to fly gracefully with the birds along the treetops, or for more advanced, thrill-seeking pilots, perform high-energy aerobatic maneuvers. The sport itself is easily accessible to anyone who has always dreamed of flight, but has never had the means or opportunity.

Aviator Paramotor is a dedicated paramotor sales and training facility located in Lake Wales, Florida. Aviator utilizes a robust proprietary syllabus that exceeds training certification requirements, knowledgeable and experienced staff and instructors, and the latest technology and equipment during training, to ensure that students will be flying safely with the best experience possible. Aviator moved into its current state-of-the-art facility located on-site at Lake Wales Airport in July 2016. Since then, Aviator hosted a 240-mile adventure race around the state of Florida in March, as well as a fourth annual “Wings Over Winter” fly-in event in January, in which hundreds of pilots from around the world and various media outlets from Central Florida attended. Aviator was founded in 2012 by Eric Farewell, who was later joined by co-owner, Travis Burns, and instructor, Jon Eisele. Together, the group formed the Paradigm Aerobatic Team, which debuted in July 2016 at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The Paradigm Team pilots include YouTube sensation Tucker Gott, David “Malaguita” Lopez, Aviator instructor Kyle Mooney, and brothers Ethan and Doran Martin. Together, the five pilots will showcase the incredible maneuverability and elegance of paramotors to the crowd at Sun ‘n Fun, as they perform a routine reminiscent of an aerial three-ring circus, never before seen by the public. The pilots will skillfully take advantage of the paramotor’s unique pendular energy to perform an aerobatic routine in which they will conduct synchronized stunts, high-energy maneuvers sustaining upwards of 6 G’s, and precise team formations.

The Paradigm Aerobatic Team is made possible by the generous support of Fuse Lenses, designers of fashionable high quality lenses for all the brands you love and never want leave home without. The Paradigm Team is excited to grow, looking forward to performing in airshows around the country in the coming year, and continues to revolutionize the sport by growing a dedicated social media following on YouTube and Facebook.

When they aren’t performing, the team can be found daily at the Aviator Paramotor booth at the Paradise City ultralight area, or at the Fuse Lenses booth at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Depending on wind and weather, Aviator and Paradigm will combine to conduct aerial demonstrations at Paradise City at sunrise and sunset, daily.

For Media: We have the ability to mount Go-Pro cameras on our helmets, paragliders, and feet, providing you with a variety of shots and angles to put together a unique and exciting news story. The Paradigm Team, as well as our Aviator staff, will be happy to conduct interviews and share their passion for the growing sport of paramotoring.
