Ever dream of fabricating your own wing desk? For years pilots have wondered how to do it themselves. Now, for the first time ever, AirVenture attendees will be able to see the process behind how MotoArt (the originators of aviation furniture) transforms vintage military and commercial aircraft parts into functional furniture: desks, coffee tables, beds, etc. See the latest designs which utilize everything from rudders and flaps to ailerons and fuselage.
MotoArt’s Sales Manager and renowned back-country pilot, Ramona “SkyChick” Cox, was weaned on aviation. Her father gave primary training to some of the WASP during WWII and her brother was an Air-Force Pilot. This love of planes led Ramona to MotoArt, where she helps save aviation history by turning decommissioned military and civilian aircraft into amazing furniture, instead of leaving it to be turned into scrap metal. And for the first time ever, she’s bringing MotoArt to AirVenture!
