WingBoard Begins Manned Flight Testing
HUNTSVILLE, Ala.— Wyp Aviation announced today that it successfully conducted its first full-scale, manned flight testing the week of June 27th, 2016, at the ACE Wind Tunnel facility in Toronto, ON, Canada, as part of their human flight week. A culmination of three years of development, the full-scale prototype was pilot by notable wingsuit flyer Brandon Mikesell. Testing results far exceed expectations and validated critical performance in preparation for airborne flight testing. Over 4 hours of flight test time were accumulated on the board by two riders over the two days of testing at speeds ranging from 50 to 75mph.
