Perfect in the back country: long travel, oil-damped, big tires, matched brakes, light weight!
Oshkosh, Wisconsin, July, 2015: BERINGER AERO has engineered and now announces its Alaskan Landing Gear for taildraggers, incorporating many features coveted by back country fliers who want a proper setup that balances their machine’s weight and speed, large tires, and proper brakes, all in an integrated, lightweight package.
Claire Beringer, Director of Sales, said, “Our attendance at Alaskan airshows has convinced us that there is a need for a modern solution to the back country fliers’ dilemma for a totally engineered, balanced system. Our Alaskan Landing Gear is the answer, with matched and selected wheels and brakes, along with a rugged yet lightweight gear.”
BERINGER AERO’s Alaskan Landing Gear features 12” of travel and plenty of ground clearance, and the brake components are matched to the requirements of airframe and tire size (diameters up to 31”).
Soon available for suitable Experimental and LSA airplanes and ready late next year for popular certified designs (Super Cub, Champion, Husky, and similar), the BERINGER AERO Alaskan Landing Gear rides on 6” wheels and will support many two-seat taildraggers of both modern and classic design.
BERINGER AERO will be displaying the Alaskan Landing Gear at Airventure Oshkosh, Booth 437.
