The most significant breakthrough in tailwheel handling since the skid went away:
At BERINGER AERO’s press conference at Airventure Oshkosh on Wednesday afternoon, the press were able to see a spread of new wheel and brake products, from the world’s lightest 4” main wheel with brake, to an 8” wheel and brake for aircraft – including turboprops and jets – to 6000 pounds, to a 6” wheel for popular fixed-axle aircraft (e.g., Cub style) with an option of two calipers that handle tires up to 31” diameter.
Also showcased was perhaps the most significant improvement in tailwheel handling, ever – a new, patented anti-ground loop tailwheel assembly, lightened and improved with a single-side arm, since last year’s sneak peek.
Also highlighted in the presentation was BERINGER AERO’s US distribution with full parts support headquartered in Chicago, and dealers and service centers (including Lockwood Aviation, Cascade Aircraft Management, and Aircraft Spruce among others). Note: All this information is detailed in the attached .pdf.
The Beringer family is demonstrating and explaining these technologies, plus their state-of-the-art wheels and brakes for Cirrus, RV, Pilatus, LSA, and Ultralights, at Booth #437, through Sunday.
Builders and OEMs alike are invited.
