PARKER AIRCRAFT WHEELS AND BRAKES ON BOARD NEW PILATUS PC-24 TWIN JET TO BE UNVEILED AT PILATUS FACTORY
Cleveland Ohio July 17, 2014 – Parker Aerospace’s Aircraft Wheel & Brake Division was selected to provide the wheels and brakes for the Pilatus PC-24 twin jet, which was announced by Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. at the 2013 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2013). The PC-24 is the first twin-engine business aircraft as well as the first jet product offered by Pilatus.
Parker Aircraft Wheel & Brake’s bill of material on the PC-24 includes internal caliper brakes (four per aircraft), 10-inch main wheels (four per aircraft), wheel fairings (two per aircraft), and five-inch nose wheels (one per aircraft). The wheels and brakes for the PC-24 are designed to provide maximum performance and longevity along with reduced maintenance time, ease of lining replacement, and competitive operating costs.
“Parker Aircraft Wheel & Brake is proud to be part of the team making this giant step forward a reality at Pilatus,” noted Division Team Leader Tom Dorinsky. Division General Manager Mike Walasinski added “The PC-24 program builds on the longstanding relationship between Parker and Pilatus. We congratulate Pilatus on its achievement with the PC-24 and look forward to our continued mutual success.”
The first rollout of the PC-24 aircraft in Stans, Switzerland, is occurring at the same time of the AirVenture Oshkosh 2014 show. Parker Hannifin’s Aircraft Wheel & Brake Division (and its market-leading product line, Cleveland Wheels & Brakes) will have the PC-24 main wheel and brake on display at its booth in Building C, Exhibit 3087, during the show.
Parker Aerospace also provides wheels and brakes for the Pilatus PC-12 and PC-21 aircraft.
