Sun 'n Fun Delivers

Well, the sun and the even the fun (at least on Thursday afternoon) were in short shpply for a while in Lakeland, Florida, but Friday was, as they say, another day.

No "April Fool" joke came from the weatherman, who predicted clear skies, low humidity, and light breezes. It was just what the show needed, after days of rain that culminated in Thursday's tornado.

Volunteers and exhibitors worked through the night on Thursday, clearing debris, assessing damage, and dismantling damaged aircraft. By Friday morning's dawn, just about everything (except some soaked portions of the parking lot and campground) were servicable, if not "normal."

The crowds came, though, and exhibits were mobbed. The show, as they say, must go on -- and in Lakeland, it certainly does -- through Sunday!
