Sennheiser Brings Music and High Quality Sound to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, 'The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration'

Old Lyme, CT –July 20, 2010: Audio manufacturer Sennheiser will be attending AirVenture Oshkosh 2010, showcasing its outstanding line of aviation headsets and bringing music to "the spirit of aviation." The Sennheiser tent, located at space 270, just outside Hanger A, will feature full demonstrations of Sennheiser's latest aviation headsets, a flight simulation contest and live entertainment provided by The Flying Musicians, among many other activities.

During each of the seven days that Sennheiser will be exhibiting, it will offer 'active' demonstrations of its HMEC 460 and new HMEC 461 aviation headsets, among other models; these demonstrations will feature background aircraft and intercom noise so aviators can test Sennheiser's aviation headsets in an authentic environment. As with previous years, Sennheiser will have its headsets available for purchase through its dealers; there will be cash rebate incentives as well as free rechargeable batteries for each HMEC 460 headset purchased.

Bridging Music and Aviation

In addition to presenting its new and existing aviation headsets, Sennheiser will also have product experts on hand to demonstrate its highly regarded consumer headphones--including the PXC 310 noise canceling travel headset and many others. Also, members of The Flying Musicians--including Sennheiser-sponsored musician Ravi--will provide entertainment at the Sennheiser tent each day between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The Flying Musicians is an organization whose members are passionate about both aeronautics and music and are dedicated to educating youth in the science and art of these disciplines.

Dave Dunlap, Director Sennheiser Aviation, commented: "Each year at Oshkosh, we look forward to meeting pilots and aviators from all different geographies and backgrounds and introducing them to the sound quality of Sennheiser. In the course of meeting with customers and through our own surveys, we have discovered an overwhelming majority of folks who share an equal passion for music and aviation--Sennheiser of course bridges both of these passions."

"Fly for Fuel" Competition?

While at AirVenture Oshkosh 2010, Sennheiser will feature a flight simulator competition for licensed pilots. Using a realistic yoke, throttle and pedal controls, pilots will compete against one another each day to fly a given route in a twin engine aircraft. At the end of week, the winner will be rewarded with a $500 aviation gas card. In addition to the product demonstrations, entertainment and fun, Sennheiser will be offering special discounts on many of its headphones and headsets.
