Anywhere Map Announces Quadra Handheld GPS

Pittsburg, KS, April 6, 2010: Control Vision Corporation makers of the Anywhere Map line of GPS navigation products is proud to announce the latest model of handheld called the Anywhere Map Quadra.
With available georeferenced low enroute charts, this revolutionary new dual mode navigation tool offers unmatched GPS routing capabilities on the ground, and particularly in the air. Quadra includes 180 meter (6 arc-second) terrain, the patented Cones of Safety and all the features that have been integrated into Anywhere Map over the last decade.
The Quadra is the first and only aviation handheld GPS to offer built-in WiFi which allows the unit to update its own aeronautical databases, upload logged flights to AVLogbook.com, and even download and display the latest weather imagery over the flight planning/moving map screen from any wireless hotspot with no PC or Mac required!
The Anywhere Map Quadra comes in 3 configurations. The basic Quadra system retails at $595 and includes an automotive and an aircraft mount, AC and DC power adapter, carrying case and 12 months of database updates. The Quadra MAX system includes all the basics plus geo-referenced Sectional Charts and retails at $795. The Quadra EFB system is the premium configuration and includes all the basics plus geo-referenced Sectional Charts, Low Altitude Enroute IFR charts, and Approach Plates. The EFB is a steal at $995.
Every Quadra system can utilize a WX Worx receiver, with a compatible Bluetooth module from Control Vision. Live in-flight weather information displays as an overlay on the moving map screen. Anywhere Map displays any combination of digital charting elements including terrain, airspace, sectionals, and low enroutes with selective Nexrad transparency so the map can still be viewed easily.
“The Quadra easily tops the competition in both features and value. It is by far the most bang for the buck you can get out of an aviation GPS.” says Jay Humbard, President/CEO Control Vision Corporation “Since the Quadra doesn't depend on a computer for updates, Macintosh and Linix users will have a much easier time keeping the NAV data up-to-date.”
