General agreements are in place with Honeywell for the 1,650 SHP TPE331-14GR turboprop engine, and McCauley Propeller Systems for the latest 5-blade propeller, a 108", aluminum propeller optimized for both takeoff and cruising altitudes.
Ron commented, "When designing and building the best single engine turboprop, you need the best performing, highest value components. We are very pleased with our equipment selection and the support we are receiving from our major equipment suppliers."
Lueck noted: "Honeywell's 1650 HP, TPE331-14GR is the most powerful and fuel efficient in its class; and they are providing strong program assistance and support."
The Comp Air 12 will enter FAA certification as soon as final equipment standards and conforming aircraft specifications are completed.
